URFURNISH is a commerce-first shopping assistant that places real furniture into photos of your room. This policy explains what we collect to make that work, how we use it, and the control you keep over it.

Information we collect

URFURNISH works by understanding your room and your taste, so the information we collect is centred on that purpose:

Room photos you upload for AR placement, and the renders derived from them.
Style signals from the matching quiz and from spaces you choose to share.
Shopping activity such as the pieces you save, dismiss, add to a board, or buy through a linked retailer.
Account details needed to run your boards, such as your name and email address.
Basic usage data that helps the placement and recommendation features work reliably.

How we use it

Your information is used to deliver the shopping experience, not to trade in your data:

To place real furniture into your room photos at true scale, with grounded shadow and matched light.
To learn your style and shape recommendations so a board feels like yours rather than generic.
To assemble matching pieces from multiple retailers onto one shoppable board with live price and stock.
To keep suggestions inside the budget you set and flag anything that would exceed it.
To maintain your account, respond to your requests, and keep the service secure.

Room photos, handled with care

Room photos can reveal a private living space, so they are treated as sensitive. They are used to generate your placements and recommendations, and are not sold. Access is limited to the systems that produce your renders and to a small set of personnel for support and maintenance, under least-privilege access.

When you delete a photo or placement, it is removed from your account and queued for deletion from storage, including the renders derived from it.

Retailers and purchases

URFURNISH gathers matching pieces from multiple retailers, and purchases are completed on each retailer's own checkout. When you follow a piece to a retailer to buy it, that retailer's own privacy practices govern the information you share with them during checkout.

We share only what is needed to connect you to the right product listing, and we do not hand your room photos to retailers.

We do not sell your personal data. Limited sharing happens only in these cases:

With service providers who host and operate the platform on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and the service.
As part of a business transfer, in which case protections described here continue to apply.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit between your device and the service, and room photos and personal data are stored encrypted at rest. Access follows least-privilege principles. No system is perfect, and we describe only measures that are actually in place rather than claiming certifications we do not hold.

Your choices and rights

You stay in control of the space you share with us:

Delete individual room photos, placements or boards at any time.
Access or correct your account details from within your account.
Close your account, after which uploaded photos and personal data are removed within the stated retention window.
Opt out of non-essential communications while keeping essential service messages.

How long we keep it

Room photos are retained while your account is active and the related placement or board exists, so you can revisit and edit your rooms. Deleted items are purged from storage within a short retention window. Account data is kept for the life of the account and removed when it is closed, aside from records we are required to retain.

Children

URFURNISH is intended for adults furnishing and shopping for their spaces. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

As the product and our practices evolve, this policy may be revised so it continues to describe accurately how your information is handled. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
